Daily Word for Lenten Season - March 10

“Free”

No cost. Released. Unencumbered. Is this something you long to have? Is this something you long to experience? Is this something you take for granted? Sometimes when we are free we aren’t sure what to do. Perhaps this has more to do with who we are than our circumstances.

Prayer: Lord, it is though you we can truly experience freedom no matter what surroundings we have. Let us give thanks for being free because of your presence in our life. Amen.

Daily Word for Lenten Season - March 9

“Way”

“No Way,” “Way to go,” “The Way.” An incredulous exclamation, an affirmation of an achievement, the label used to identify a new faith called Christianity. People who followed Jesus were said to follow “The Way.” Not the right way, not the wrong way, but just ‘the way.”

How would you define “the way” you follow?

Prayer: Lord, thank you for showing us the way. Help us to listen when the way becomes confusing for only you can show us the true way. Amen.

Daily Word for Lenten Season - March 8

“But”

This can be a powerful word from God or a lame excuse from us. God calls us to follow him, but he knows our struggles so he has provided us with a savior. We know the way we should go, but we tend to stray from that way. The wonderful fact about this word is that God’s use is more powerful than our excuse.

Prayer: Lord, help us to strive to follow your way, but be ready to ask for your help. Amen.
