Heifer Living Gift Market THIS Sunday, Operation Christmas Child Boxes are due, ROCK Thanksgiving Gathering, Advent Celebration, Pageant and more!

Hi All!

It's AMAZING how this month is flying by - and now Thanksgiving is already next week!  Below are a few JKPC updates.

Most important this Sunday:

  • Sunday morning is the Heifer Living Gift Market after church that the kids will help out with.
  • Operation Christmas Child Boxes are due by Sunday noon
  • ROCK's last Sunday meeting of 2017 is happening with a Thanksgiving Celebration!
  • Pledge Time - Pledge cards are due so that Session can determine our 2018 JKPC budget.
  • AND lots of Christmas programs to mark your calendars for!  Including it's time to RSVP if your child will be participating in the Christmas Pageant

Read on for all the fun:

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD - Please return filled Boxes this Sunday by  NOON please. We will then drop them off at a Collection Center as they prep them to zoom around the world!  This is the most amazing and fun way to help bring a smile to a child in need - we thank all who participated.

HEIFER INTERNATIONAL MISSION -LIVING GIFT MARKET THIS SUNDAY AFTER CHURCH.  Folks can "shop Heifer" all the way til December 17 though. Each year the Sunday School kids help lead this important mission that helps families in need around the globe. They will help host our annual Heifer Living Gift Market this Sunday! We'll have a special Sunday School lesson to get the kids in the "moooood" for the event which will happen directly after church.  We will have beautiful honor cards for people to take home - telling family or friends that they have purchased a goose, llama or goat in their honor! Heifer International recipient families not only flourish as a family because of this mission - they also help their community by passing on livestock offspring and education on how to care for their animals. This is indeed a gift that keeps on giving!  Please bring in your Heifer Banks if you participated.

ROCK Sunday Afternoon Fun - Thanksgiving Gathering this Sunday 4-6 p.m.

Kindergartners - 5th Graders - join us as we share Pumpkin Pie and cider together (we will offer a gluten free/vegan pumpkin pie, too!).  We will then be on vacation until January 7, 2018!

"Deck the Halls" ALL CHURCH ADVENT CELEBRATION

Sunday, December 3 from 2 - 4 p.m.
Get into the Christmas spirit by making homemade ornaments and crafts! We'll have snacks, decorate the church Christmas Tree, sing carols and hear a special story.  A fun time for the whole family so save the date! Sign up to help bring a snack to share after church - or email me please.

CHRISTMAS PAGEANT - The Pageant is during the 12/10 Worship Service, Rehearsal on Saturday, 12/9 at 9 a.m.    RSVP please to be in the Pageant by CLICKING HERE. It will help me stay organized with the costumes!!

We are now rehearsing for the Christmas Pageant during Music Time (during Sunday School).  Pageant CDs were passed out last Sunday - and I have lots more to hand out for this Sunday. All are welcome to join the Pageant - friends are welcome to join us, too! We are even giving a special invitation to the Co-op Preschool and Joy.  Pageant Sunday is a special service and the kids will share the very first Christmas in story and song! Preschoolers will be the angels, K/1st graders the animals, 2nd/3rd graders are the shepherds and 4th & 5th graders are the Wise Men!!  There will be a rehearsal for the Pageant on Saturday, 12/9 from 9-10:15 a.m. ROCK KIDS - we'll be rehearsing the Chimes during the rehearsal, too - please arrive 8:45 a.m.
