Community in Action July 14, 2020

If you haven’t heard yet VBS is happening at John Knox Presbyterian Church. I am amazed at the program that is happening right now. The organizing, delegating, and coordinating by Kim Kraft and Nancy Polcyn has proven to be more than astounding.

Not only are we seeing the unfolding of a week of bible learning, but also craft making, song learning, and character lessons. Those character lessons follow the theme of the VBS program, but we are created by our own film producer P J Peterson, and his crew of youth actors. They bring to life a story line better than any reality show.

Of course none of this would be possible without the electronic expertise of Jerry Miller his student P J and sound tech Peter McIntyre. These back stage folks are able to incorporate music videos, bible lesson videos, skit filming, and live interaction on the Knights of North Castle Quarantined set in the sanctuary. This is truly a phenomenal production.

If you want to join the private group (which we need because of copyright concerns), which allows you to see it live or see it later at a more convenient time, you can just email Nancy Polcyn.

I even get to play a part, a small part, but it is exciting to see what creativity can come from our small congregation. We are truly blessed with people who are committed, creative, and concerned that word get out there.

Thanks for what each of you do to spread the good news,

    Blessings, Pastor Randy
