Hello Campers!!

We are excited an Awesome Week at Camp Firelight Vacation Bible School at JKPC!  Your kids will learn that they can Trust God wherever they go! 

We are excited that 100 campers (preschool - 8th grade) have registered for this Fun and Faith-filled Week! If you're receiving this email, you've registered your child for VBS, or you've offered to volunteer.  We thank you!!

CAMP INFO

Camp Firelight VBS week is Monday-Friday, July 8-12th,  9 a.m. - Noon  
We'll ask that all kids arrive at 8:45ish a.m. so that parents can first sign them in officially in the main courtyard.  

Our VBS will be both indoors and outside.  Inside the Sanctuary we'll enjoy opening assembly (songs, skits, & fun) and Music Time.  Outdoor classroom time will be filled with Bible Lessons, Recreation, and Crafts.  Snacks will be served in Fellowship Hall.  Please wear sunscreen, and we recommend closed-toe shoes, especially for recreation time.  

Music! 
We are excited to have Music Time with the kids - they love learning the songs and dance movements. Music CDs are available for pick up.

SUNDAY Kick-Off on July 7

We will have a VBS Kick-off On Sunday, July 7, after church, at 10:45 a.m.- 12:15 p.m.   Join us for Treats, Crafts and Games.  You can also pick up your VBS T-shirt on this day (we'll probably stay on campus during the afternoon getting thing ready).  Shirts are available for pick up this Friday, too.  And you can always get them the Monday morning of VBS, too. 

Snacks during VBS Week
We'll be asking kids to bring their own water bottles again this year. We'll be able to keep them refilled with cold water. 
Our snacks are nut-free.  Our planned menu is:
Monday: Friendship mix (popcorn, pretzels, goldfish & honeycomb cereal) and fruit
Tuesday: Cheese and crackers
Wednesday: Quesadillas and fruit
Thursday: Graham crackers, mini marshmallows, and chocolate chips and fruit
Friday: Cheese pizza and brownies

Parents - you can decide if you need to bring a similar snack for your kids if there are additional allergy concerns (gluten free, dairy free).  There will be a place on the sign-in rosters to mark if you brought your own snack.  EpiPens will be held by the teachers just in case. Please make sure your name is on it  and  give it to your teacher at sign-in.

VBS CELEBRATION SUNDAY~ July 14
Join us Sunday, July 14, when the kids will sing and share what they learned at VBS during our church service.  We'll all enjoy a Big BBQ and fellowship after! 

FOOD BANK DONATIONS
Our Service Project once again is collecting non-perishable food for Children's Emergency Food Bank, located right here on campus!   CLICK HERE  for a list of the most needed food items. 

FUNDRAISER
We will be having a Pizza My Heart Restaurant Fundraiser during on the Wednesday of VBS Week from 11 a.m. - 9 p.m.  Pizza My Heart is located next to Sprouts in Dublin.  JKPC will receive 30% of purchases, which would be put toward VBS Scholarships and program materials.  Click Here for the Flyer

We will have Team Leaders for each section who will be advised of the program.   Volunteers - you will be in good hands with your leaders. 
We will ask the Volunteers to please arrive at 8:30 a.m. each morning so that we can get you connected with your area leaders and assigned tasks. There will be nametags for everyone that you should wear each day.     

Middle Schoolers will have their own class time, as well as a chance to be a leader with the younger children! We'll give them all the info to where they are assigned to on VBS Monday.    

If you have not yet submitted payment, you can drop your VBS fee off in the church office or via Venmo. If paying via VENMO:  Our JKPC Venmo User name is:  @JKPCDublinCa     The last 4 digits of the phone number associated with our Venmo are:  0067  Our account is set to Private.  Please include your last name in the Venmo memo so we can confirm your payment.
