A Big Thank You to Rene Phillips!
Rene Phillips is pursuing a new full-time career outside of JKPC and her last day in the office will be this Friday. We have been blessed to have Rene as a JKPC Administrative Assistant since 2016!  Rene has been an integral part in keeping the office organized, creating the Sunday Bulletin, coordinating facilities usage (working with outside organizations who share the JKPC Campus) and much more!

Rene will be greatly missed, but she will remain an important part of the JKPC Family as a church member – and we know that she'll be kept busy helping with Family Ministries activities. Rene & Brandon's kids, Austin & Zoe, are now both in middle school.  Rene will also keep her role as the JKPC Wedding Coordinator along with Lisa Locus!

Rene has always worn lots of hats on the JKPC Campus.  Rene was Joy Preschool & Day Care Vice President for the last two years that Joy Preschool was open. And, before working in the office, Rene was Board President for John Knox Co-op Preschool for two years when her kids were little.

Thank you Rene for your service to JKPC and we send blessings to you on the new career that awaits you!

Cana Marriage Ministry ~ Starts Saturday, September 10
Euan and Janet Ramsay have been involved in Cana Marriage Ministry for 11 years and are excited to share this with couples at JKPC. The Ramsays are inviting married couples to join them one Saturday evening a month from September to May. The monthly meetings will include a pot-luck dinner, time to discuss a unique topic or question with your spouse, and time to share with other couples. This simple structure helps open up time and space for God to deepen our relationship with our partner. Please talk to the Ramsays at church, or by email at euan_ramsay@yahoo.co.uk if you have any questions, or would like to sign up.

Deacon Prayer Ministry ~ Are You Called to Pray with Others?

Each second Sunday of the month, the Deacons have been offering to pray with those who would like one-on-one prayer after the service. This Fall we’re opening this ministry up to others in the congregation with a calling to serve and to pray for others. If you have an interest in supporting this ministry, please contact Janet Ramsay at janet_r_ramsay@yahoo.co.uk

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your request to God.” Philippians 4:6,7

Prayers of Joy & Concern: Praises from Sharon Smith for all of the support she continues to receive following Bob’s passing; Prayers for Leslie James' son Brian, his wife Elizabeth and baby Blake who were in a bad car accident this weekend. Prayers as they heal from thankfully minor injuries and praises that it was not worse; Prayers for Rene Phillip's mother-in-law who is in the hospital with very swollen legs from lymphedema - prayers that the doctors find the right medicine to ease the pain; for safety for all of those who are working outdoors during this heat wave; for our church as we go through the process of finding an interim pastor and forming a search committee; travel mercies for Pastor Randy and Joan as they fly back from Austin.

Thought for your week,

Many Blessings,
